Accessibility statement
Our accessibility commitments for the OFC Complaints Portal, known limitations, and how to report a barrier or request an alternative format.
Our commitment
The Office of Financial Conduct is committed to making this portal usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings. We design and test this portal against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we provide
- Keyboard access to every interactive element, with a visible focus indicator.
- Skip links to the main content and the footer on every page.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
- Text-size and contrast controls available from the accessibility button on every page.
- Respect for your operating-system reduced-motion preference — animations and rotating content pause.
- Complaint forms that save progress so a session can be resumed with assistive technology.
Known limitations
Some documents published before this portal launched are PDFs that may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need one of these in an accessible format, ask us and we will supply it.
Alternative ways to complain
If you cannot use this portal, you can contact us for assistance and a complaint can be recorded on your behalf. Using an alternative channel does not disadvantage your complaint.
Report a barrier
Tell us what happened, the page you were on and the assistive technology you were using through the contact page. We review accessibility reports and will respond to you.
