About

The Office of Financial Conduct

The OFC is an arm of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) responsible for ensuring fair treatment of consumers by Licensed Financial Institutions across the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union.

Protect

Safeguard consumers from unfair, abusive or deceptive practices by Licensed Financial Institutions.

Adjudicate

Provide an independent, impartial channel for resolving disputes that LFIs cannot resolve internally.

Educate

Promote financial literacy and consumer awareness across the ECCU member territories.

Our mandate

Established under the consumer-protection framework of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, the OFC has authority to receive, investigate and adjudicate complaints against any Licensed Financial Institution operating in Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Referrals to the FDRC

Where a matter falls outside OFC jurisdiction or requires formal dispute resolution, the case may be referred to the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre (FDRC) with the consent of the complainant.
